Coe is the first candidate for the junior faculty seat selected from more than 60 candidates across the country.

"I am honored to be selected for this role and look forward to representing UNC," Coe said. "As a resident of the resident representative organization, I have the opportunity to work with AAMC, and I am very happy to work with AAMC again."

Her junior faculty seat is designed to put the organization's academic mission at its core and include a broader perspective.
